About AeonRobotics

AeonRobotics was founded in 2015 by two members of the Department of integrated Circuit design at Braunschweig University of Technology. Our vision is to enable smart, affordable and easy to use robot systems for personal and professional use by providing cutting-edge robotic technologies. We offer modular robotic system and components that can be customized to your needs. Our services comprise electronic & PCB design, IP design, mechanical design and 3D prototpying.

Sören Michalik

Sören Michalik is a robotics engineer who lives and works in Braunschweig, Germany. He received a Master in Computer and Communications Systems Engineering at Braunschweig University of Technology in 2012. Since 2012 he is working at the Department of integrated Circuit design at Braunschweig University as a PHD candidate. His research aims to advance communication, navigation and image processing systems using hardware accelerated designs in FPGA and ASIC technology. He developed radiation tolerant communication IP cores for the European Space Agency. He has vast experiance in CAD design, PCB design and high performance IP Core development for spaceborne systems.

Sönke Michalik

Sönke Michalik is a robotics engineer who lives and works in Braunschweig, Germany. He received a Master in Computer and Communications Systems Engineering at Braunschweig University of Technology in 2012. Since 2012 he is working at the Department of integrated Circuit design at Braunschweig University as a PHD candidate. His research aims to advance robotics, embedded systems and image processing systems using FPGAs. He worked in a european robotic research project (R5COP) to develop hardware accelerated stereo vision systems. He has high expertise in designing and synthesizing embedded systems and PCB design in field of mobile robotics.
